5500 sq.ft
Retail & Hospitality
This project involved the interior fit-out of Palelai Buddhist Temple, a 5,500 sq. ft. religious space designed to support spiritual practice, community gatherings, and daily temple operations. The design approach focused on creating a calm, dignified, and functional environment, while accommodating the practical requirements of a high-occupancy institutional space.
Spatial planning was carefully developed to ensure smooth circulation, clear zoning, and accessibility, allowing worshippers to move comfortably through prayer halls and common areas. Material selections were guided by durability, ease of maintenance, and appropriateness for religious use, ensuring long-term performance without compromising the serene atmosphere of the temple.
Lighting was designed to balance ambient illumination and focal highlights, enhancing visual comfort while supporting ritual activities and architectural features. The overall fit-out was executed with attention to craftsmanship, detailing, and coordination, ensuring the space functions efficiently while reflecting the values and identity of the temple.
This project reflects Gridline’s experience in delivering institutional and religious interiors, where sensitivity to cultural context, technical execution, and operational needs are equally critical.
