1000 sq.ft
Corporate Office
This project for Raintree Asset Management was designed to reflect the company's core values of clarity, stability, and long-term growth. The spatial strategy focused on creating a professional office environment that feels composed and confident, while remaining warm and approachable.
The entrance establishes an understated first impression through a restrained material palette, soft integrated lighting, and clean architectural lines. A fluted glass panel partition frames the entry into the lounge, while a circular skylight fixture anchors the ceiling and draws natural-feeling light into the heart of the space.
The breakout lounge extends this warmth through rounded oak tables, tan leather armchairs, and brass globe sconces set against timber-lined walls. Layered carpet tiling in tonal greys grounds the furniture arrangement and defines zones within the open floor plate — creating a space that encourages informal connection without losing its professional character.
The workspace expansion introduces a bolder design language. A lime green acoustic wall textured with flowing contour lines anchors the workstation area, while suspended planter fixtures integrated into the linear lighting system trail greenery across the ceiling. Timber joinery provides personal storage, and acoustic phone pods offer focused spaces for calls and concentrated work.
The boardroom is defined by a sculptural double-ring pendant over a full-length sintered stone table. A slate-toned acoustic feature wall with an embossed contour pattern manages sound while adding a distinct visual identity to the room. Frosted glass partitions maintain corridor connectivity without compromising privacy.
Across every zone, the project balances aesthetics with functionality — ensuring the office reflects the Raintree brand while actively supporting the way the team works.
I am pleased to provide this Testimony for Mr Ethan Pei, Interior Designer at Gridline Design, who recently led the renovation of an extension to our office premises.
It is without reservation that I commend Ethan as a designer of exceptional quality and character. Throughout the project, Ethan demonstrated a level of dedication that went well beyond what one would ordinarily expect. He was consistently responsive — prompt in communications, proactive in flagging potential issues, and always available when decisions needed to be made.
This made the entire process remarkably smooth and gave us full confidence that the project was in capable hands. From a design standpoint, Ethan showed a refined sense of taste and an intuitive understanding of our requirements. The finished space is not only functional but genuinely reflects the professional environment we had envisioned.
He struck the right balance between aesthetics and practicality, and the result speaks for itself. Ethan’s professionalism was evident at every stage — from initial planning through to final delivery. He managed timelines, vendors, and on-site considerations with care and composure, ensuring that the project progressed with minimal disruption to our operations.
What left a particularly strong impression, however, were the moments that fell entirely outside the formal scope of work. On one occasion, Ethan personally sourced and purchased a cable required for our security camera system — a small but telling act of initiative and ownership that reflected his genuine investment in the project’s success. He also accompanied us to multiple furniture shops to help select pieces best suited to the office, investing considerable personal time to ensure we were fully satisfied with every detail, even where it was not strictly required of him.
These gestures reflect a professional who takes genuine pride in the outcome of his work and treats each client’s interests as his own. I would not hesitate to engage Ethan and Gridline Design again, and I recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone seeking an interior designer of the highest standard.
Yours sincerely,
