From 2017 to 2019, Gridline Design was engaged as the interior designer for Temasek Club, one of Singapore's established recreational clubs.
The two-year engagement covered five distinct spaces across the clubhouse, making it one of the most extensive single-client commercial interior design projects in Gridline's portfolio.
The scope included a refresh of Laager, the club's pub, balancing atmospheric lighting and durable finishes for evening operation and live entertainment; Outpost, the wine bar, focused on premium materiality, ambient pendant lighting, and intimate seating for members' evening use; and the outdoor poolside events area, designed for weather durability and flexible event configurations. Two A&A build-outs were also delivered: Daisy's Dream Kitchen, a new poolside F&B outlet with industrial-arch detailing, exposed brick, and patterned floor tiling built for high-traffic conditions; and Quarterdeck, a dedicated children's play area for members' families, featuring safety-first detailing, custom rope climbing structures, slides, and a soft-play zone.
Working across F&B, recreation, hospitality, and family-use spaces within a single clubhouse meant balancing very different functional requirements within a shared design language. Gridline managed concept design, materials specification, project coordination, and post-handover follow-up across all five projects, with each phase scheduled to minimise disruption to ongoing club operations. All five projects were delivered within the club's budget and programme requirements, and the club subsequently issued a written testimonial citing project management, cost discipline, attention to detail, and post-handover responsiveness.
The Temasek Club project remains a flagship reference within Gridline's clubhouse and hospitality portfolio, demonstrating the firm's capability to manage long-engagement, multi-space commercial interior design projects involving F&B fit-outs, A&A works, and members'-facility refreshes in Singapore.

Gridline Design was engaged as Temasek Club's Interior Designer for a few major projects during the period from 2017 to 2019. The projects include a refresh of our Wine Bar (Outpost), Pub (Laager), outdoor events area by the pool, function room area, as well as A&A works to incorporate a poolside dining area (Daisy's Dream Kitchen) and the children play area (Quarterdeck).
During the course of the project, Gridline provided creative designs with various options to meet the Club's objectives.
They were very professional and gave very good guidance and considerations that caters to the needs of our Members. Their project management was excellent and are able to meet the tight timeline imposed on them. In addition, they were very prompt in following up on issues that arose during the post-project phase.
Overall, the Club is extremely happy with the quality of work produced by Gridline. Their solutions were practical, cost-effective, able to meet the demanding requirements without compromising on the budget. Their attention to detail is greatly appreciated.
In summary, I would highly recommend Gridline Design to any recreational club or company looking for an interior design.
